Arrival of airship in Pomerania

article summary —

arrival of airship in Pomerania

After a flight of just over thirty hours, the Italia made its first landing. Around 8.30 am on Monday morning the airship reached Stolp on the coast of Pomerania (nowadays Slupsk in Poland). A good start, but this first long hop from Milan to the Baltic has revealed that the airship still needs a lot of work done on her before making the journey north over Scandinavia towards the North Pole. This Stolp stop is going to be no quick overnighter. Already Nobile is talking of a week or more.
