Opposite Atarazanas market you'll find Restaurante Los Pueblos, one of Málaga's oldest spit and sawdust bar-cum-restaurants. From around 1.30pm to 4pm the place is knee-deep in cigarette butts, olive stones, serviettes and prawn heads, and you can't move for would-be customers shuffling for a table. You don't come here for a relaxing meal - unless you really don't need to hear yourself speak.
